Repair procedures

Removal

1.	Disconnect the battery negative cable.

2.	Turn the steering wheel so that the front wheels are facing straight ahead.

3.	Remove the driver airbag module. (Refer to Restraint - "Driver Airbag (DAB) Module and Clock Spring")

4.	Disconnect the clock spring connector.

Loosen the bolt and then remove the steering wheel.

Tightening torque:

44.1 - 49.0 N·m (4.5 - 5.0 kgf·m, 32.5 - 36.2 lb·ft)

•	When removing the steering wheel, do not impact it by hammering as it may damage the steering column.

•	Do not reuse the bolt.

Disassembly

1.	Loosen the steering wheel screw.

2.	Loosen the steering wheel lower cover srew.

3.	Disconnect the switch connector.

4.	Remove the bezel.

5.	Install in the reverse order of removal.

Repair procedures Removal and Installation 1. Remove the universal joint bolt. Tightening torque : 32.

Description and operation Description The heated steering wheel system improves the thermal comfort of the driver by heating the steering wheel when manually selected.

Repair procedures Removal 1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. 2. Remove the crash pad lower panel. (Refer to Body - "Crash Pad Lower Panel") 3. Remove the steering column upper and lower shroud panel.
