1. Front door latch

Repair procedures

Replacement

Put on gloves to protect your hands.

•	Use a plastic panel removal tool to remove interior trim pieces without marring the surface.

•	Be careful not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.

1.	Remove the front door inside handle. (Refer to Front Door - "Front Door Inside Handle")

2.	Remove the front door window glass. (Refer to Front Door - "Front Door Window Glass")

3.	Disconnect the front door latch connector (A).

4.	Disconnect the front door latch rod (A).

Remove the front door latch (A) after loosening the mounting screws (B).

Tightening torque :

Screw : 7.8 - 10.8 N·m (0.8 - 1.1 kgf·m, 5.8 - 8.0 lb·ft)

Install in the reverse order of removal.

•	Check that glass operation is normal.

•	Check the damage glass channel, and replace if necessary.

•	Adjust glass if necessary.

Repair procedures Inspection 1. Disconnect the key warning switch connector (A) and ignition switch connector (B) from the steering column. 2. Check for continuity between the terminals.
