Kia Rio: Drive Belt System / Crankshaft Damper Pulley
Repair procedures

Remove the engine room front under cover and RH side cover.
(Refer to Engine and Transaxle Assembly - "Engine Room Under Cover")

Remove the drive belt.
(Refer to Drive Belt System - "Drive Belt")

3. |
Remove the crankshaft damper pulley (A).
Tightening torque :
65.7 - 71.6 N·m (6.7 - 7.3 kgf·m, 48.5 - 52.8 lb·ft) + 59 - 61°

Use the SST (09231-2B100, 09231-3N100) to remove the crankshaft
pulley bolt, after remove the starter.

Install in the reverse order of removal.
Turn the crankshaft pulley and align its groove with the timing
mark of the timing chain cover to set the piston of No.1 cylinder
to the top dead center on compression stroke.

Check the crankshaft damper pulley for vibration in rotation, oil or dust deposit
of V-ribbed part. Replace if necessary.

The transmitter (or smart key) will not work if any of following occurs:
The ignition key is in the ignition switch.
You exceed the operating distance limit (about 30 m [90 feet]).
The battery in the transmitter (or smart key) is weak.
Other vehicles or objects may be blocking the signal.

until the tabs on the socket align with the slots on the assembly.
