Repair procedures

Removal and Installation

1.	Remove the engine room front under cover and RH side cover. (Refer to Engine and Transaxle Assembly - "Engine Room Under Cover")

2.	Remove the drive belt. (Refer to Drive Belt System - "Drive Belt")

Remove the crankshaft damper pulley (A).

Tightening torque :

65.7 - 71.6 N·m (6.7 - 7.3 kgf·m, 48.5 - 52.8 lb·ft) + 59 - 61°

Use the SST (09231-2B100, 09231-3N100) to remove the crankshaft pulley bolt, after remove the starter.

Install in the reverse order of removal.

Turn the crankshaft pulley and align its groove with the timing mark of the timing chain cover to set the piston of No.1 cylinder to the top dead center on compression stroke.

Inspection

Check the crankshaft damper pulley for vibration in rotation, oil or dust deposit of V-ribbed part. Replace if necessary.
